Animation exhibition at Filmens Hus / The Norwegian Film Institute

My classmate Cathrine and I went to see the animation exhibition at The Norwegian Film Institute, as a preparation for the animation course. It was so inspiring to walk amongst the storyboards and sets of familiar animation films. You get a better understanding of how things work, as well.

Sinna mann (angry man) of Svein Nyhus and Gro Dahle. Director: Anita Kili.

An interview with Piotr Sapegin, my favorite animator. He's made a lot of great films, such as Aria and Huset på Kampen. If you haven't seen them yet, please do.

(Aria)

(Huset på Kampen. Requires norwegian skills, but looks pretty whatever language)

This is the Aria doll….or whats left of it.

Storyboard for Aria.

Cut out technique. Layers of glass on top of each other.

Crappy pictures of a beautiful set for the animation film Pølse of Ivar Rødningen. They had different color of the light, so it appears to be at different times a day.
